Sir,

In reply to your telegram of the 13th instant relating to the health and conduct of convict C.E. Leopold, I have the honour to inform you that according to the report of the Assistant Superintendent of Victoria Gaol the conduct of the prisoner during his imprisonment has been good.

2. With regard to his health, I transmit herewith a copy of a report by the Acting Medical Officer, from which it appears that since the date of his incarceration

his condition has improved.
